Thai Massage Dubai At Your Home, 24/7
A DHA-licensed therapist trained in traditional Thai technique comes to your home, hotel, or apartment anywhere in Dubai. From AED 450 for sixty minutes, at any hour, one price across the whole city.
Read the next two sections before you book. Thai massage works differently from every other treatment on this site, and the most common reason a first Thai session disappoints is that nobody told the client what to expect.
Nothing About This One Is Like the Others
Four differences, and all four matter.
You stay dressed. No undressing, no sheet, no towel. You remain fully clothed for the entire session in your own loose clothing. For a great many people, particularly anyone who has avoided booking a massage because of the undressing, this single fact is the whole reason Thai massage is the right choice.
No oils. None at all. Nothing is applied to your skin; you are not oily afterwards, and you do not need a shower. You can book this at lunchtime and go straight back to whatever you were doing.
No table. The session happens on a padded mat on the floor. The therapist brings the mat, and it needs roughly the same floor area as a table would.
You participate. This is the big one. The other treatments are things done to you while you lie still. Thai massage moves you; the therapist lifts, rotates, and extends your limbs, folds you into stretched positions, and holds them while you breathe. You are not working, but you are not passive either.
That last difference is why people either love Thai massage or find it strange, and why it is worth knowing in advance which you are likely to be.
What to Wear
The single most useful paragraph on this page, and nobody tells anybody this.
Wear loose, soft, stretchy clothing with full sleeves and full legs. Gym clothes, light tracksuit, loose cotton trousers and a t-shirt. Nothing restrictive and nothing you mind being moved around in.
Do not wear: jeans, anything structured or fitted, a dress or skirt, shorts that ride up, anything with a stiff waistband, belts, or anything with zips, studs or hard seams at the hips and knees. Those are exactly the places the therapist needs to work and move.
Take off watches, bracelets, rings, and anything in your pockets.
Socks are fine, and some people prefer them. Bare feet are equally fine.
If you are not sure what you own that fits the description, message us when you book, and we will tell you. It is a far better question to ask beforehand than to answer at the door. Turning up in jeans means the therapist cannot do half the treatment, and that is the most common way a first Thai session is wasted.
Where Thai Massage Comes From
Traditional Thai massage is called Nuad Thai, and it is a formal, documented tradition rather than a loose style.
In December 2019, UNESCO inscribed Nuad Thai on its Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the same list that recognises traditional crafts, music and foodways worldwide. It is one of a small number of massage traditions anywhere to hold that status.
The practice developed in Thailand over centuries, with influences from Indian and Chinese medical traditions, and it has long been taught through formal lineages, including at temple schools. Within the tradition, the work follows pathways through the body known as sen lines, and treatment is understood in terms of restoring flow along them.
We would describe that as the framework the practice grew out of, rather than as physiology. We are not going to tell you that a massage unblocks energy channels, because we cannot demonstrate it. What we can tell you is what the technique does to muscle and joints, and how the hour actually feels, which is below.
What Actually Happens in the Session
A Thai session works through the body in sequence, usually beginning at the feet and finishing at the head, and it uses four things.
Compression. Steady, rhythmic pressure applied with the palms, thumbs, and often the therapist’s forearms, elbows, knees, or feet. It is applied through the clothing, and it is where most of the session’s pressure comes from.
Point work. Sustained thumb pressure at specific points along the sen pathways, held and released.
Assisted stretching. The therapist moves you, rotating a hip, extending a leg, drawing an arm across the body, opening the chest, twisting the spine. Each position is held while you breathe into it. This is what distinguishes Thai massage from everything else, and it is what people remember.
Mobilisation. Gentle rocking and passive joint movement, used between the stretches.
You will be asked to breathe with it, and that is not decoration. A stretch released on an exhale goes further and feels better than one you brace against. Your therapist will cue you.
You may be moved into positions that look unlikely. Seated, on your side, folded forward, legs raised. None of it is forced, and all of it stops where your body stops. If something is at your limit, say so, and that is where it stops. Nobody is testing your flexibility.
Is It Really "Lazy Man's Yoga"?
Partly fair, and partly misleading.
Fair, in that you end up in yoga-like positions without having held yourself there; the therapist does the work of placing and supporting you, which means you reach positions you could not get into unassisted and stay in them longer than you could alone.
Misleading, in that it implies the session is effortless. It is not. You breathe actively, you are moved a great deal, and most people finish a ninety-minute Thai session feeling like something has happened pleasantly worked rather than pleasantly dozy. If you want an hour of drifting off, this is the wrong treatment, and Swedish is the right one.
The more useful comparison: Swedish and Balinese are about tissue, deep tissue is about a specific tight structure, and Thai is about movement. If what you have lost is range rather than softness, this is the treatment that addresses it directly.
Who Should Book It
You feel stiff and restricted rather than knotted. The central case. When the complaint is that movement has gone you cannot turn as far, reach as far, or bend as easily pressure is the wrong tool and stretching is the right one.
You sit all day. Long sitting shortens the front of the hips and stiffens the spine in rotation, and both respond better to assisted stretching than to being pressed on.
You do not want to undress. Entirely legitimate, extremely common, and rarely accommodated. Thai massage solves it completely.
You cannot have oil on your skin a sensitivity, have a skin condition, or have sunburn after a day on a Dubai beach. Nothing is applied in a Thai session.
You have somewhere to be afterwards. No oil means no shower and no residue. This is the only treatment on the site you can book in the middle of a working day.
You have had massages and found them pleasant but ineffective. If Swedish feels nice and changes nothing, and deep tissue is more than you want, Thai is a genuinely different approach rather than a different pressure.
You are flexible and want to stay that way, or you train and want mobility work rather than tissue work.
Do Not Book This If
One specific spot has been tight for months, and you can point at it. Deep tissue. Sustained pressure on that spot is what it needs.
You want to switch off completely and possibly fall asleep. Swedish. Thai requires some participation.
You want firm tissue work across the whole body with oils. Balinese.
Getting onto and up off a floor mat is difficult for you. Say so when you book; there are adaptations, including working you seated for much of the session, but it is better discussed in advance than discovered at the start. If floor work is genuinely not an option, a table-based treatment is the better choice.
You are pregnant. Tell us at booking. Thai massage involves stretching and positioning that need specific adaptation, and we will assign accordingly or recommend a different treatment.
Something is sharply painful, came on suddenly, or has not shifted in weeks. See a doctor before booking any massage. Assisted stretching on something that has not been looked at is not a good idea, and this is the treatment where that matters most.
Why Ninety Minutes Rather Than Sixty
Thai massage is traditionally a long treatment, and for a structural reason rather than an upsell.
The sequence works through the whole body in order: feet, legs, hips, back, arms, shoulders, neck, head. Sixty minutes means the therapist either abbreviates every section or skips some of it. Ninety minutes is roughly what the full sequence needs. Two hours is genuinely luxurious, and plenty of people who book Thai regularly book that.
Book sixty if you want to try it before committing, or if you name one region “mostly hips and lower back” and accept that the rest gets light treatment.
Book ninety for a proper session. If you only ever book Thai at one length, make it this one.
Straight After the Session
You will feel taller and looser, and most people notice it in how they walk rather than in a specific spot.
No oil, no shower, no residue. Get up and carry on.
Occasionally a mild next-day tenderness in areas that were stretched further than they are used to, similar to the day after a good yoga class. It passes.
Drink some water. Not because anything is being flushed out that is marketing rather than physiology, but because most people are mildly dehydrated anyway.
Do not go straight into something strenuous. Tissue that has just been taken through its full range is more extensible than usual for a while, and a heavy training session immediately afterwards is not the best idea. Leave it a few hours.
Frequency: monthly for maintenance; fortnightly if you sit all day or you are working on mobility deliberately.

What Comes Instead of a Table
A padded floor mat, brought and laid out by the therapist, plus a clean cover and whatever cushions or bolsters the sequence needs. No table, no oils, no linens for you to be covered with; you stay dressed throughout.
Setup takes a couple of minutes.
Floor Space
About two metres by two metres of clear floor, the same as a table session, but it genuinely has to be floor rather than furniture-adjacent space; the therapist moves around you and sometimes works from a kneeling or standing position above you.
Hard floor is fine; the mat handles it. Carpet is fine. What does not work is a space so tight that the therapist cannot get round all four sides, so clear a little more than you think you need if you can.
A short consultation runs before anything starts. Mention any injury, recent surgery, pregnancy, high blood pressure, joint problems, recent fractures, or medication affecting circulation; all of those change how a therapist works, and some of them change whether stretching is appropriate at all.
Picking a Therapist
Thai massage is the most technique-dependent treatment we offer. It is a full formal sequence with specific positioning, and a therapist trained in it is doing something categorically different from a therapist improvising stretches. So we assign it specifically, and we tell you who you are getting.
Before you confirm, you receive the therapist’s name, photograph, specialisation and DHA licence number, and every number is published on our therapist page so you can check it on the Dubai Health Authority’s public register yourself. Every home massage service in Dubai claims DHA-licensed therapists; as far as we can find, none of the others will show you the numbers.
Gender and language are requested at booking and confirmed rather than hoped for. Thai massage involves a good deal of physical contact and close positioning, so if gender matters to you here, it matters more than usual; ask, and it is guaranteed. The therapist named in your confirmation is the therapist who arrives; if somebody else is at your door, send them away, and you owe nothing.
Making the Booking Itself
Message us on WhatsApp with the duration, your address or hotel and room number, the time you want, and any preference on therapist gender or language.
Three things worth adding to that message. Whether you have had a Thai massage before. Whether getting down to and up from a floor mat is straightforward for you. And anything you would rather was not stretched or moved.
A confirmation comes back in about thirty minutes: name, photograph, specialisation, licence number and arrival estimate. Nothing is committed until you approve it, and a therapist is usually with you within sixty to ninety minutes.
During the session you can stop any stretch, ask for less range, ask for more time on an area, or end the session entirely, at any point and without explaining yourself.
Everywhere in Dubai
At one price, twenty-four hours a day. Thai is most requested in the parts of the city where people sit longest and where mobility rather than tightness is the complaint JLT and Business Bay in particular- and in JBR, where the no-oil element makes it the right choice after too much sun. Riders in Arabian Ranches book it for the same reason: the problem is usually range rather than tissue.
Every area we cover is listed on our home spa service page, and you can book a massage at home anywhere in Dubai on identical terms.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do you wear for a Thai massage?
Loose, soft, stretchy clothing with full sleeves and full legs: gym clothes, a light tracksuit, or loose cotton trousers and a t-shirt. Avoid jeans, fitted or structured clothing, dresses and skirts, shorts, belts, stiff waistbands and anything with zips or hard seams around the hips and knees, because those are the areas the therapist needs to move. Remove watches, bracelets and rings. Socks are optional. You stay fully clothed for the entire session.
What is Thai massage?
Traditional Thai massage, known as Nuad Thai, is performed on a padded floor mat with the client fully clothed and no oils. It combines rhythmic compression, sustained point pressure, assisted stretching and gentle joint mobilisation, working through the body in sequence from the feet upward. Its defining feature is that the therapist moves you into and holds stretched positions rather than only working on tissue. UNESCO inscribed Nuad Thai on its Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in December 2019.
How much is a Thai massage in Dubai?
AED 450 for sixty minutes, AED 600 for ninety and AED 780 for two hours, at your own address. Every price includes the therapist, the padded mat, the setup and the travel, with no travel charge and no night surcharge. The rate is the same in every area of Dubai and payment is taken at the end rather than when you book.
Do you take your clothes off for a Thai massage?
No. You stay fully clothed throughout, in your own loose clothing. There is no undressing, no sheet and no oil. For anyone who has avoided booking a massage because of the undressing, this is the treatment that removes the problem entirely.
What is the difference between Thai massage and deep tissue?
Deep tissue works on tissue with sustained pressure on specific tight areas, with oil, on a table. Thai works on movement, compression, and assisted stretching, through clothing, on a mat. If you can point at one tight spot that has been there for months, book deep tissue. If the complaint is that range has gone, and you cannot turn, reach, or bend as easily, book Thai.
Is Thai massage painful?
It should not be. Compression is firm, and stretches are taken to the edge of your range, which can feel intense in the way a good stretch does, but nothing is forced, and every position stops where your body stops. Say so, and it stops there. You should be able to breathe through everything if you cannot, it has gone too far. Nobody is testing your flexibility.
Do I need to be flexible for Thai massage?
No. The therapist works to your range, whatever that is, and inflexible people often get more out of it than flexible ones. If getting down to or up from a floor mat is difficult, mention it at booking; there are adaptations including working you mostly seated.
Why is Thai massage ninety minutes rather than sixty?
Because the traditional sequence works through the whole body in order, from the feet to the head, and sixty minutes means abbreviating or skipping parts of it. Ninety is roughly what the full sequence needs. Sixty works well if you name one region to prioritise and accept lighter treatment elsewhere.
Can I have a Thai massage if I am sunburnt?
Yes, and it is usually the best choice. No oil is applied, and nothing is rubbed across the skin, so unlike an oil massage there is nothing to aggravate a burn. Mention it at booking so the therapist can avoid pressure directly on the affected areas.
Can I have a Thai massage while pregnant?
Tell us at booking. Thai massage involves stretching and positioning that need specific adaptation during pregnancy, and we will either assign a therapist accordingly or recommend a different treatment. Do not book it without mentioning it.
Can I request a female therapist?
Yes, and it is guaranteed rather than requested. Thai massage involves close physical positioning, so if this matters to you, it matters more here than elsewhere. Gender is confirmed at booking, and the therapist named in your confirmation is the one who arrives. Male therapists are equally available.
Do I need a shower afterwards?
No. No oils are used, and nothing is applied to your skin, so there is no residue. This is the one treatment you can book in the middle of a working day and carry straight on afterwards.
Is home massage legal in Dubai?
Yes, when the service is delivered by therapists licensed by the Dubai Health Authority. Massage in the UAE is a regulated activity and legitimate providers are required to work with DHA-licensed therapists rather than informal freelancers. We publish our therapists’ licence numbers so you can verify them yourself before booking.
