Home Massage in Dubai Media City: A DHA-Licensed Therapist at Your Door, 24/7

Sessions from AED 400, any hour of any day, at your apartment or hotel residence in Media City, Knowledge Park or Al Sufouh. Table, oils and fresh linens arrive with the therapist.

You work in communications, so you already know how this industry usually sells itself. This page does it differently; it starts by taking apart the things our own industry says that are not true.

So What Does It Actually Do?

Since the above rules a few things out, here is the honest version of what you get.

Muscular tightness eases, sometimes a lot, and stays eased for somewhere between a few days and a couple of weeks depending on what you go back to doing. Range of movement usually improves in the areas worked on. Most people sleep better that night, which for anyone on a broken schedule is often the single most valuable part.

And you get an hour in which nothing is being asked of you, your phone is in another room, and someone is working on the parts of you that have been carrying the week. That has value on its own, and it does not need dressing up as anything else.

What it does not do is cure anything, correct your posture permanently, or replace seeing a doctor. If something is sharply painful, came on suddenly, or has not shifted in several weeks, get it looked at properly first. We are a spa service, and we are clear about where that line sits.

Six Things People Believe About Massage That Are Not True

Harder is better

It is not. Pressure should match what the tissue needs and what you can stay relaxed under, and past a certain point more force makes things worse rather than better, because you tense against it and the therapist ends up working through a muscle that is now actively defending itself.

There is a useful distinction between firm and painful. Firm work on something tight feels productive; people call it good sore. Sharp pain is a signal to ease off, not a sign it is working. If a therapist has ever told you that you need to tolerate more, they were wrong.

You should be sore for days afterwards

Mild tenderness for a day after deep work is normal. Being genuinely sore for three days is not a badge of a good session; it usually means the pressure was more than your body wanted. If that has been your experience, book Balinese or Swedish instead of deep tissue next time, or simply say “medium, not deep” when you book.

It flushes toxins out of your body

This one is everywhere, and it is not true. It is a marketing line that got repeated so often it started sounding like physiology. Nothing is being flushed, and there are no toxins involved.

Drinking water after a massage is still a good idea; most people are mildly dehydrated to begin with, and lying still for an hour then standing up briskly is the sort of thing that makes people light-headed. But the reason is ordinary, not detoxification.

We would rather tell you that than repeat something you would be right to be sceptical about.

One session will fix it

Something you have had for six years is not going anywhere in sixty minutes. One session will usually make it noticeably better for a few days, which is genuinely worth having, and it will tell you whether this approach helps you at all.

If it does, the thing that actually shifts long-standing tightness is repetition monthly, or fortnightly during a bad stretch. If anyone promises you a permanent fix in one appointment, that is the claim to be suspicious of.

I should get in better shape first

We hear versions of this constantly, and it stops people booking for years. Nobody is assessing your body. Therapists work on every kind of body every day, and yours is unremarkable to them, whatever you think of it. The same goes for every other small embarrassment people quietly worry about before a first booking. None of it registers

It is a luxury

For an hour of hot stones and aromatherapy on a birthday, fair enough. For someone who sits at a desk eleven hours a day and has had a tight band across their shoulders since 2019, it is maintenance, and treating it as an occasional treat is exactly why it never improves.

If You Work in Live Broadcast

Media City runs on a broadcast clock rather than an office clock, and the people who live inside that clock carry a pattern that is quite specific.

Headsets. Hours of over-ear pressure, often with the band sitting in the same spot every day. It concentrates at the temples, along the jaw and into the muscles at the base of the skull, and it is one of the most common things people ask us to work on once they realise it is treatable. Almost nobody connects the two until someone points it out.

Jaw. Long stretches of concentration, monitoring, and talking add up to a jaw that is lightly clenched for most of the shift. Work through the jaw, temples, and the base of the skull is gentle and people are routinely surprised by it.

Voice work. If you present, read, or do any sustained voiceover, breath support engages far more than most people realise: the ribs, the diaphragm area, the front of the neck and the upper chest all work continuously. After a long session, that whole area is tight in a way that never gets attention because nobody thinks of the chest and neck as muscles that get tired.

Gallery and edit-suite sitting. Static, leaning slightly forward, eyes fixed at one distance, shoulders up. The standard desk pattern but held with more intensity and for longer stretches.

The rotation. Nights, then days, then nights again. This is harder on a body than travel is, because there is no direction of travel to adjust to; you simply never settle. Booking on a rest day rather than immediately after a night shift generally gets more out of the hour, and a session before bed on the day you flip back to nights helps some people land the first sleep.

What to book. Sixty minutes kept above the waist shoulders, neck, jaw, and the base of the skull is the highest-value hour for most people in this building. If the whole body is tired rather than one area tight, take ninety minutes of Swedish instead. If the tightness across the shoulders has been there for years, deep tissue at ninety minutes, or Balinese if you would rather have firm work that is more comfortable to lie through.

Finding You on the Campus

Media City numbers its buildings, and the numbers do not run in a line. Building 8 is not next to Building 7 in the way you would hope. Give us the building number or name plus your floor and unit, or drop a location pin, and your therapist arrives at the right lobby rather than walking the campus.

Hotel residences and serviced apartments. A large share of the residential stock here and in Knowledge Park is serviced, and a lot of it is occupied on six- or twelve-month company contracts. Everything on this page applies at the same price: no in-room premium and no service charge. Some front desks prefer a visitor to be announced, which takes a word from you at reception.

Residential towers in Media City and Al Sufouh. No registration needed in most; your therapist goes up as any visitor would. The table folds flat and travels in the passenger lift, so no service lift booking, no permit and no building approval.

Parking is structured and paid across the campus. Give us the building and your therapist sorts it before arriving.

Arrival is unremarkable. Professional clothing, a folded table, a kit bag. Nothing about it announces itself in a lobby.

How the Money Works

At the end of the session, never in advance.

Visa and Mastercard, credit or debit. Apple Pay. Google Pay. A Stripe payment link if you would rather not hand over a card. Botim, Ziina or direct bank transfer.

Cash is equally fine, in dirhams or in any world currency: dollars, pounds, euros, rupees, Australian or New Zealand dollars. Useful on a media schedule where half of a given month has been spent somewhere else.

Space, and the Lights

About two metres by two metres of clear floor. A Media City one-bedroom or a serviced apartment manages that once a coffee table or luggage rack is moved aside. No spare room needed, and there is genuinely no need to tidy.

Two things that cost nothing and improve the hour. Use a room you do not work in if you have the option; the separation matters more than it sounds like it should, particularly if you have been working from the flat. And turn the overhead lighting down. Lying face-up under ceiling spotlights is the most common small complaint we hear anywhere in the city, and it is the easiest thing in the world to fix.

Everything else arrives with the therapist: table, oils, fresh sanitised linens, music if you want it. Drink water beforehand, skip a heavy meal in the hour before, and mention any injury, recent surgery, pregnancy, high blood pressure or medication affecting circulation when you book. A short conversation happens before anything starts.

The Therapist, and What You Can Check

Our team includes therapists trained in Thai, Indian, Filipino, Russian, Arabic, Japanese, Chinese and European traditions, with genuinely different specialisations within that. Someone whose strength is firm remedial work is a different practitioner from someone whose strength is relaxation, and we tell you which you are getting rather than sending whoever is free.

Request a gender, request a language, request a focus area. All three are confirmed at booking rather than treated as hopeful preferences.

Before you agree to anything, you receive the name, photograph, specialisation and DHA licence number. Every number is published on our therapist page so you can check it against the DHA register yourself. Every home massage service in Dubai claims DHA-licensed therapists. As far as we can find, none of the others will let you verify it which, given how much of this industry’s marketing does not survive contact with a fact-check, is the part worth testing.

The person named in your confirmation is the person who arrives. If someone else does, turn them away and you owe nothing.

Sending the Message

Message us on WhatsApp with the treatment and length, your building number or name plus floor and unit, the time you want, and any preference on gender, language, or focus area. Say “medium, not deep” if that is what you want it is a perfectly normal instruction and it will be followed.

Confirmation comes back in about thirty minutes: name, photograph, specialisation, DHA licence number, arrival estimate. Nothing is committed until you approve it.

The therapist arrives with everything, sets up in a few minutes in whichever room you choose, confirms what the session should focus on, and delivers it. Afterwards you get brief, practical aftercare and an honest view on frequency including when the answer is that you do not need to book again for a while.

How We Do Business

We will tell you when something is not true, including when it is something our own industry says. That is the whole first half of this page.

Published licence numbers. Everyone claims DHA-licensed therapists. We are the only service we can find that lets you check.

The full rate card is on this page. No quote-on-request, no night surcharge, no travel fee, no upsell once someone is in your flat.

You approve the therapist first name, photograph, specialisation, gender, language.

You can stop at any point, ask for less pressure, or have an area left alone, without explaining yourself.

A team, not an app. Booking platforms hand you to whichever independent provider accepts the job. We vet ours, stand behind them, and rebook you free if a session falls short.

The Rest of the Corridor

We are across this whole corridor: Barsha Heights and Knowledge Park immediately inland, Dubai Marina and JLT down the road, Internet City and Al Sufouh in between, and Al Barsha on the other side of Sheikh Zayed Road. Everywhere else is covered through massage spa at home in Dubai, and you can book a home massage in every part of Dubai on identical terms.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a home massage cost in Dubai Media City?

Sessions start at AED 400 for sixty minutes of deep tissue or Balinese, and AED 450 for sixty minutes of Swedish, Thai, hot stone, or full body relaxation. Ninety minutes start at AED 550 and two hours at AED 700. Couples massage with two therapists starts at AED 800. Every price includes the therapist, table, oils, linens, setup and travel, with no night surcharge and no premium for a serviced address.

No. That is a marketing claim rather than a physiological one, and it has been repeated often enough to sound like fact. Nothing is being flushed, and no toxins are involved. Drinking water after a session is still sensible, because most people are mildly dehydrated anyway and standing up briskly after lying still for an hour can leave you light-headed, but the reason is ordinary rather than detoxification.

No. Firm work on tight muscle can feel productively uncomfortable the phrase people use is good sore but sharp pain is a signal to ease off rather than a sign it is working. Pressure should be what you can stay relaxed under, because tensing against too much force means the therapist ends up working on a muscle that is actively defending itself. You can ask for less pressure at any point, and being sore for three days afterwards usually means the pressure was more than your body wanted.

Say what you want in plain terms at booking “medium, not deep” is a perfectly normal instruction and it will be followed. If firm work has left you genuinely sore for days in the past, choose Balinese or Swedish rather than deep tissue. You can also adjust during the session at any point without it being awkward.

No, and anyone who promises that is worth being suspicious of. A single session will usually make long-standing tightness noticeably better for a few days and will tell you whether this approach helps you. What actually shifts it is repetition monthly, or fortnightly through a difficult stretch.

On a rest day rather than immediately after a night shift an hour on a body that has already slept generally does more. Sixty minutes kept above the waist, covering the shoulders, neck, jaw and the base of the skull, is the highest-value session for most people working in this industry, particularly if you wear a headset for long stretches. A session before bed on the day you flip back to nights helps some people land the first sleep.

Yes, when the service is delivered by therapists licensed by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
