Hot Stone Massage Dubai At Your Home, 24/7
A DHA-licensed therapist arrives with heated basalt stones, a professional table, oils and fresh linens, and works in your own home anywhere in Dubai. From AED 450 for sixty minutes, at any hour, one price across the whole city.
Heat Instead of Pressure
This is the whole idea, and it is the reason to book it rather than something else.
Every other treatment on this site reaches deeper muscle by pressing harder. Deep tissue does it with sustained force. Balinese does it with varied firm technique. Both work, and both ask something of you: you have to stay relaxed while real pressure is applied.
Hot stone reaches deeper by warming the tissue first.
Warm muscle is more pliable than cold muscle. That is not a wellness claim; it is why athletes warm up and why you stretch better after a shower than before one. A therapist working through tissue that has been warmed by a stone can go further at a much lower pressure than one working on tissue that has not.
So the trade is simple: you get a stronger effect without a harder session. If pressure is the part of massage you do not enjoy, this is the treatment built for you, and it is consistently the one we recommend to clients who have tried deep tissue, found it too much, and assumed their only option was something lighter and less effective.
What the Stones Actually Are
Smooth basalt. Specifically basalt, and for a practical reason rather than a mystical one.
Basalt is volcanic rock. It is dense and non-porous, which means it absorbs a great deal of heat, holds it for a long time, and releases it slowly and evenly rather than in a burst. A stone that cooled in four minutes would be useless; a basalt stone stays usefully warm for most of the time it is in contact with you.
Non-porous also matters for hygiene; the stones are cleaned and sanitised between every client, and nothing soaks into them.
They come in a range of sizes. Large flat ones rest along the back. Smaller ones sit in the palms or along the spine. Some are shaped to be held and used as tools, which is how the actual massage work gets done; the therapist uses a warm stone in place of a hand for parts of the session.
How Hot, and How We Know
The honest answer to the question people are too polite to ask.
The stones are heated in water, in a purpose-made heater with a thermostat, not in a microwave or a kettle. Water heating is what keeps the temperature even across the whole stone.
The therapist tests every stone on their own skin before it touches yours. Every time, not once at the start. That is the actual safety mechanism, and it is not optional.
Stones are never placed directly on bare skin at full working temperature. There is always oil, a towel, or a layer between, and the stone is moved rather than left sitting in one spot.
It should feel deeply, pleasantly hot and never sharp. Warmth that makes you exhale is right. Anything that makes you flinch, tense, or think “that is a bit much” is too hot, and the only correct response is to say so immediately. Your therapist will swap the stone. Nobody will be annoyed, and the session is not spoiled; stones cool constantly through a session, so there is always a cooler one to hand.
Say something straight away rather than waiting. This is the one treatment on this site where enduring in silence is genuinely not worth it.
Tell Us Before You Book
Most of this list applies to every massage, but on this treatment two items carry real weight because heat is involved.
If you have reduced sensation anywhere, particularly in your feet, hands, or lower legs, tell us. This matters more than anything else on the page. The safety of a hot stone session depends partly on you being able to feel accurately whether something is too hot, and if that feedback is unreliable in an area, the stones should not be used there. This is not a reason to avoid the treatment; it is a reason to say so, so the therapist can work differently.
If you are diabetic, mention it for the same reason, and because circulation and skin sensitivity can both be affected. Your therapist does not need details, only to know.
If you are pregnant, tell us at booking. Heat application needs specific adaptation, and we will assign accordingly or recommend a different treatment.
If you are sunburnt, this is the wrong treatment this week. Heat on burnt skin is unpleasant and unwise. Thai massage, which uses no oils and no heat, is the better choice until it settles.
Also mention: any skin condition or open area, recent surgery, high blood pressure, varicose veins, or medication that affects circulation or skin sensitivity. None of these automatically rules out the treatment. All of them change how a therapist works, which is the point of telling us.
And if something is sharply painful, came on suddenly, or has not shifted in weeks, see a doctor before booking any massage. We are a spa service, and that is a different question.
What a Session Looks Like
Not what most people picture.
It is not just stones laid on you. Photographs of hot stone massage always show a row of stones sitting along someone’s spine, and that is a real part of it, but it is maybe a fifth of the session. Most of the hour is a proper massage in which the therapist’s hands and the warm stones are used alternately.
The usual sequence: the therapist warms an area with a stone, works it with their hands while it is pliable, then returns with the stone. Large flat stones may be left resting on the back or along the spine while they work elsewhere, so one area is warming while another is being treated.
Stones are placed in the palms and sometimes between the toes. It sounds strange written down, and most people find it unexpectedly good.
Oils are used throughout; they are needed for the stones to glide rather than drag.
Pressure is light to medium. It should never need to be more, because the heat is doing the work that pressure otherwise would. If you find yourself wanting significantly more pressure, you probably wanted deep tissue or Balinese.
The Dubai Use Case Nobody Names
There is a specific, extremely common reason to book this in Dubai, and no one in this market writes about it.
You spend nine to eleven hours a day in a heavily air-conditioned room, frequently directly under a vent, for eight months of the year. Then you get into an air-conditioned car. Then you sit in an air-conditioned house.
What that produces is a particular kind of stiffness across the shoulders, up the sides of the neck, and in the upper back that is different from the tightness of overwork. It is not that those muscles have done too much. It is that they have been held slightly contracted in cold air for hours on end, every day, for months.
Pressure helps less than you would expect. Heat helps it a great deal, and quickly.
If you recognise this, if you keep a cardigan at your desk in July, if your shoulders feel better on holiday within two days, if the stiffness is worst at the end of a working week and better at weekends, book hot stone rather than deep tissue. It is the closest thing to a correctly matched treatment we offer for the single most common physical complaint in this city.
Winter works differently. Between December and February, when Dubai actually gets cool in the evenings, this becomes the most booked treatment we offer for straightforward reasons.
Who It Suits Best
Anyone who wants depth without pressure. The main case, and a large group.
People who found deep tissue too intense. Along with Balinese, this is where to go instead. Balinese gives you firm work distributed across varied techniques; hot stone removes the need for much firmness at all.
Air-conditioning stiffness, as above.
Cold hands and feet. If you are someone who is always cold, including in Dubai, this is the treatment you will like most.
Anyone nervous about massage generally. It is warm, it is gentle, and nothing about it is demanding. Along with Swedish, it is one of the two safe first bookings.
Winter evenings, which need no further explanation.
Book A Different Treatment If
One spot has been tight for months, and you can point at it. Deep tissue. Heat will help it feel better; sustained pressure is what will actually shift it.
You want firm therapeutic work across the whole body. Balinese.
You are depleted rather than stiff and mostly want to switch off. Swedish, though hot stone is a close second here and many people prefer it.
Movement has gone rather than muscle being tight. Thai massage, which works on range rather than tissue.
You cannot have oil on your skin, or you are sunburnt. Thai again, no oils, no heat.
You have reduced sensation and would rather not involve heat at all. Entirely reasonable. Swedish or Balinese gives you a full session with no heat element.
When the Session Ends
You will be warm, loose, and usually quite sleepy. More so than after any other treatment on this site. Plan accordingly; this is not the one to book an hour before you need to be sharp.
No next-day soreness in most cases, because the pressure was never high. That is one of the real advantages.
Give yourself a few minutes before standing up. Getting up briskly after an hour of heat is the main reason anyone feels light-headed after this treatment.
Drink some water. Not because anything is being flushed out of you that is marketing rather than physiology, and we would rather not repeat it, but because an hour of applied heat is genuinely dehydrating in a way a normal massage is not. This is the one treatment where the water advice has a real reason behind it.
Shower an hour or two later rather than immediately, and keep it warm rather than cold.
Frequency: monthly suits most people. Through a cold-office stretch or in winter, fortnightly.

What Gets Carried In
More equipment than any other treatment on this site: a professional hydraulic table, a stone heater, a set of basalt stones in several sizes, oils, freshly laundered linens, and towels.
Setup takes a little longer, around fifteen minutes rather than five, because the stones have to come up to temperature in the heater before the session can begin. Your therapist will arrive, set up, and start the heater first. Worth knowing so the wait does not seem like a delay.
The heater needs a power socket within reach of where the table is set up. That is the only thing this treatment asks of your room that the others do not.
You need about two metres by two metres of clear floor, as with any table session. No spare room and no need to tidy.
The Therapist Who Comes
Hot stone is a treatment where competence is not optional, because heat is involved and the therapist is responsible for managing it, testing every stone, reading your reaction, rotating stones as they cool, and never leaving one sitting too long in one place.
So we assign it to therapists trained specifically in it, and we tell you who you are getting. Before you confirm, you receive the therapist’s name, photograph, specialisation and DHA licence number, and every number is published on our therapist page so you can check it on the Dubai Health Authority’s public register yourself. Every home massage service in Dubai claims DHA-licensed therapists; as far as we can find, none of the others will show you the numbers.
Gender and language are requested at booking and confirmed rather than hoped for. The therapist named in your confirmation is the therapist who arrives if somebody else is at your door; send them away, and you owe nothing.
Getting a Session Booked
Message us on WhatsApp with the duration, your address or hotel and room number, the time you want, and any preference on therapist gender or language.
Three things to add. Whether you have reduced sensation anywhere. Whether you are diabetic or pregnant. And whether you have had hot stone before; if not, say so, and the therapist will start cooler and build up.
A confirmation comes back in about thirty minutes: name, photograph, specialisation, licence number and arrival estimate. Nothing is committed until you approve it, and a therapist is usually with you within sixty to ninety minutes.
During the session, say immediately if any stone feels too hot. That is not a complaint, and it will be handled in seconds.
Served Everywhere
At one price, twenty-four hours a day. Hot stone is most requested where air-conditioning stiffness is worst: Business Bay, DIFC and Dubai Media City, where people spend the longest hours in cooled offices, and across the villa communities like JVT through the summer, when nobody leaves the house for five months.
The full treatment list is on our services page; every area we cover is on our home spa service page, and you can book a massage at home across the city on identical terms.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is hot stone massage?
A massage in which heated basalt stones are used alongside the therapist’s hands. Warm stones are used to heat an area of muscle; the therapist works it by hand while it is more pliable, and stones are also used directly as massage tools. Large flat stones may rest along the back or spine while other areas are treated, and smaller ones are placed in the palms. Oils are used throughout. Pressure stays light to medium, because the heat does the work that pressure otherwise would.
How much is a hot stone massage in Dubai?
AED 450 for sixty minutes, AED 600 for ninety minutes, and AED 780 for two hours, at your own address. The price includes the therapist, the table, the stones and heater, oils, fresh linens, the setup, and the travel, with no travel charge and no night surcharge. The rate is the same in every area of Dubai, and payment is taken at the end rather than when you book.
Is hot stone massage safe?
The stones are heated in a purpose-made water heater with a thermostat rather than a microwave, and the therapist tests every stone on their own skin before it touches yours every time, not once at the start. Stones are never left sitting at full working temperature directly on bare skin, and they are moved rather than held in one place. It should feel deeply and pleasantly hot, never sharp. If anything makes you flinch, say so immediately, and the stone is swapped within seconds.
Who should not have a hot stone massage?
Tell us before booking if you have reduced sensation anywhere, particularly in the feet, hands or lower legs. The safety of the treatment depends partly on accurate feedback about temperature, and where that is unreliable the stones should not be used. Also mention diabetes, pregnancy, sunburn, any skin condition or open area, recent surgery, high blood pressure, varicose veins, or medication affecting circulation or skin sensitivity. None of these automatically rules the treatment out; all of them change how the therapist works.
What is the difference between hot stone and deep tissue massage?
Deep tissue reaches deeper muscle by applying sustained pressure. Hot stone reaches it by warming the tissue first, which makes it more pliable and allows the therapist to work further with much lower pressure. If you want a stronger effect without a harder session, hot stone is the better choice. If one specific spot has been tight for months, deep tissue is what will actually shift it.
Which massage is best for stiffness from air conditioning?
Hot stone. Spending nine to eleven hours a day in heavily cooled air, often directly under a vent, leaves the shoulders, neck, and upper back stiff in a way that is different from the tightness of overwork; the muscles have been held slightly contracted in cold air rather than overworked. Heat addresses that quickly, and pressure helps it less than most people expect.
Does hot stone massage hurt?
No. Pressure stays light to medium throughout because the warmth is doing the work, and most people have no next-day soreness at all. The only discomfort to watch for is temperature, and that is solved by saying so immediately.
Will I feel sleepy afterwards?
Usually, and more than after any other treatment. Do not book this an hour before you need to be sharp. Stand up slowly as well; getting up briskly after an hour of applied heat is the main reason anyone feels light-headed.
Why does setup take longer for hot stone?
The stones have to reach temperature in the heater before the session can start, so allow about fifteen minutes from the therapist arriving rather than five. The heater also needs a power socket within reach of where the table is set up, which is the only thing this treatment asks of your room that other treatments do not.
Can I request a female therapist?
Yes, and it is guaranteed rather than requested. Gender preference is confirmed at booking, and the therapist named in your confirmation is the one who arrives. Male therapists are equally available.
Can I book a hot stone massage late at night?
Yes, twenty-four hours a day, every day, including public holidays, at the same rate as a daytime session. Given how sleepy most people feel afterwards, a late booking often suits this treatment better than a morning one.
Is home massage legal in Dubai?
Yes, when the service is delivered by therapists licensed by the Dubai Health Authority. Massage in the UAE is a regulated activity, and legitimate providers are required to work with DHA-licensed therapists rather than informal freelancers. We publish our therapists’ licence numbers so you can verify them yourself before booking.
